[2026 BPAM DAY 1 | ON-SITE SKETCH]
The curtain has risen on 2026 BPAM.
On October 1, artists, delegates, and performing arts professionals from Korea and abroad gathered in Busan for the opening day of the 2026 Busan International Performing Arts Market.
📍 The day began with an orientation at Dongseo University’s Bookcafe Lounge, followed by a reception at the Convention Hall, where participants met and began conversations that will continue throughout the week.
🎭 The Opening Ceremony then took place at Sohyang Theater Woori Bank Hall, followed by Kimara P.Group TAE’s 〈QUAD, Questions of Theatre: The sound of Macbeth〉. Reimagining Shakespeare’s Macbeth through sound, the performance brought together voice, music, movement, and the body as a single stage language.
🤝 The evening continued with ‘Cheers!’ in the Haeundae area, bringing participants together once more beyond the stage.
