2024 Busan International Performing Arts Market Official Selection Lineup Revealed!
This year's lineup is filled with highly accomplished works that are promising for international distribution, in line with the market's core purpose. The selection features works that reflect the latest trends in the global performing arts scene, with an emphasis on original creations, collaborations, and fusion that can offer audiences fresh inspiration and imagination. The lineup also includes pieces with high future value.
A notable highlight is the opening performance, La Galerie by Machine de Cirque from Canada, a sensational work in the world of art circus. In dance and music, GORNISHT, a collaborative piece between Israeli and Korean dancers, and Open Your Arms, performed by jazz musicians from Germany and Korea, will have their premieres at this event. Additionally, the original production Musical 1976 Harlan County, which gained attention through the Busan Cultural Foundation's Young Directors Support Program, will return to the stage with a fresh perspective, aiming for international exposure.
Furthermore, the BPAM Next Stage, showcasing promising future works, and the BPAM Street, in collaboration with the Busan Street Arts Festival, will be held concurrently. A total of over 200 diverse works will be presented at various venues throughout the event and across Busan’s performance spaces, promising a rich and exciting experience.
