BPAM ACADEMY sessions 3&4!

BPAM Academy Sessions 3 & 4 took place on July 6.

Session 3 was led by Jake Chung, BPAM's overseas consultant and attorney, and Session 4 by Adrien Bussy, Deputy Executive Director of CINARS.

[Session 3 | Jake Chung — Introduction to the U.S. Performing Arts Market & Collaboration for Global Expansion]

Jake Chung unpacked the essence of collaboration — where art meets business — through case studies like Serge Gainsbourg and Aerosmith × Run-DMC. He stressed that artists need the courage to take risks and stand out through originality, closing with practical advice on breaking into the Americas market through local partnerships and the 'K-Wave' momentum.

[Session 4 | Adrien Bussy — International Market Entry Strategy ② - Introducing CINARS, Canada]

Adrien Bussy introduced CINARS, the Montreal-based international performing arts market, and its biennial program — official showcases, Off CINARS, pitching sessions, and exhibition booths. He outlined a roadmap for going global: defining artistic identity, working with agents, diversifying through residencies and co-productions, and building relationships with a long-term view.

The conversation continued into a lively Q&A on trust-building, entering markets like New York, and the Canada/Quebec performing arts scene.
